Simmons Beautyrest Visco Failed Twice in 18 Months

To say that I was disappointed to have the most expensive bed I ever purchased fail within a year would be an understatement but to predict that I would suffer the exact same failure within 5 months of that bed being repaired and to sustain additional failure is unbelievable.
Beautyrest publishes advertising statements regarding Viscoflex pillow top models with promises such as:
Viscoflex™ “ …. provides outstanding comfort and support by immediately conforming to the contours of your body.”
and:
“Viscoflex™ ..." Unlike competitor offerings, you are assured of immediate, effective cushioning and support for your whole body, over a wide temperature range.”
and:
“Viscoflex™ is a breakthrough in visco-elastic foam technology. Regular visco-elastic foam requires body heat to soften the foam before the mattress conforms to the body shape.”
All went to convince us that this new space age technology was the one to choose. WHAT A MISTAKE!
Admittedly the Viscoflex top performed exactly as promised at first. The contouring effect was so effective that it was actually difficult to ‘break out’ of that contour to roll over.
Eleven months after the original purchase the Viscoflex top had lost all of its ability to conform to body contours. This original Viscoflex layer was replaced as, after it was examined by the manufacturer, it was found to be faulty. They also said that it never could and never would happen again.
Now the same fault has presented itself again after five months of use. Note, that this is the same time frame of component failure that was previously experienced and led to our first warranty claim. No longer are our bodies supported within a form fitting contour as promised but instead we lay on a flat surface that has little or no contouring properties.
After the first failure I had asked for a different pillowtop because I lost confidence in this material but was told "it's against the law to change the specifications on a warranty repair". Now, 5 months later, that replaced foam failed again. Once again I requested that they replace the 80mm Visco pillowtop with conventional foam. Once again the company replaced the pillowtop with a thinner layer of Visco but this time they added a thin layer of 'another' foam. For some reason this was not seen to 'break the law' regarding changing specifications from exactly what was originally purchased.
The mattress that was returned to me is now, strangely, a very firm mattress and nothing like the gentle mattress that I purchased and want.
In addition the central third of the mattress (running vertically) is now substantially higher and harder than both outside thirds. To roll across the mattress from east to west it is like rolling up hill to a summit and then down hill on the other side.
I have never had these faults appear on any mattress I have ever owned, even after 15 years of use.
